Giving the way it should have always worked.
No overhead. No abstractions. No wondering where your money went. Just a real person, a real need, and proof of what happened.
Four steps. One promise.
Watch their story
Every campaign starts with a real person recording a short video, 60 to 90 seconds. They tell you who they are, what they need, and what changes if you help. No scripts written by an organization. No spokesperson. Just them. That video is the campaign.
Give directly
You choose how much to give and complete your donation through Stripe, the same secure payment system used by millions of businesses worldwide. Giver takes 3%. The person you’re giving to receives everything else. There are no layers, no organizational overhead, no mystery about where the money goes.
Receive their thank-you
Within 24 hours of receiving your gift, the person records a short personal thank-you video, just for donors. You’ll receive a notification when it’s ready. This is the first moment of proof: a real person, acknowledging your real gift, saying what they plan to do with it.
See the impact
7 to 14 days after receiving funds, the person records an impact video showing you what happened. The washer and dryer in the apartment. The groceries in the fridge. The tool that let them get back to work. This is proof, not a promise. It’s also what makes a one-time donor want to give again.
How we verify every campaign
Every campaign on Giver has a trust tier so you know exactly how it was verified before you give.
We know this person.
Tier 1 campaigns are sourced and verified by our team directly. We have spoken with the person, confirmed their situation, and can vouch for them firsthand. These are our flagship campaigns.
A trusted organization vouches for them.
Tier 2 campaigns are submitted by partner organizations, including nonprofits, faith communities, and community groups, who identify and vouch for the individual. The organization does not handle any funds. Donations go directly to the person.
A real person co-signs their story.
Tier 3 campaigns are submitted by individuals who provide at least one verified voucher: a trusted person who records a video confirming the need is real.

Frequently asked questions
Gifts on Giver are direct gifts to individuals, not to a nonprofit. They are not tax-deductible, the same as GoFundMe. We disclose this clearly at checkout.
Giver takes 3% of your donation. Stripe’s payment processing fee (2.9% + $0.30) is shown separately at checkout and covered by the donor. The person you’re giving to receives everything else. We show you the breakdown before you confirm.
Every campaign is reviewed by our team before it goes live. Tier 1 campaigns are personally known to us. Tier 2 campaigns are backed by affiliate organizations. Every campaign requires verification, including social accounts, vouchers, or both, before it’s approved. Tier 3 campaigns are community vouched, but the Giver team reviews each one to confirm they are legitimate before going live.
Every recipient agrees to our follow-up requirement before their campaign goes live. If a thank-you or impact video isn’t submitted on time, their account is suspended and they cannot run future campaigns. This requirement is non-negotiable. It’s the foundation of what makes Giver different.
Yes. We accept international payments through Stripe Checkout.
There’s no minimum. Even $10 is a real gift to a real person. We’ll never tell you an amount is too small.
Transparent fees
We believe you should know exactly where every cent goes. Here is our full fee breakdown with nothing hidden.
The platform fee keeps Giver running. The Stripe fee is an industry standard charged by our payment processor. Tips are entirely optional and help us grow.
